RiverXchange®

PreviousNext

The Mid Rio Grande Stormwater Quality Team helps fund RiverXchange®, a program of Ciudad Soil and Water Conservation District that connects 4th-6th grade students worldwide and teaches them about water resources. See the most recent RiverXchange® report here.

RiverXchange® is an innovative science and language arts offered free of charge to 5th-grade classrooms in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. RiverXchange® brings local water conservation experts into the classroom and students into the field to explore the health of our watershed through hands-on activities and restoration projects. RiverXchange® students are also invited to partner with “high tech pen pals” around the world to explore critical water issues on a global scale. By participating in the program, students learn about The Big Water Questions and must decide for themselves what they can do to protect local water resources.
