Keep Fertilizers, Pesticides and Weed Killers off the Street

PreviousNext

Stormwater runoff can carry fertilizers, pesticides, and weed killers for miles and end up in the Rio Grande, where they can be harmful to aquatic life and upset the delicate environmental balance.

Keep these chemicals out of the street where they can end up in storm drains by ensuring water from your sprinklers or drip system doesn’t end up running down the driveway. Follow directions and don’t apply these products if it’s raining or about to rain.
